Dear DVA Families,
As we enter Term 2, I find myself reflecting on how far we have come together.
Term 1 brought with it new beginnings — new learners, new faces in the staffroom, and for our Junior Secondary classes, a new way of experiencing school. I am proud of how our community rose to each of these changes.
This term, our focus is on depth: going deeper in academic competence, deeper in moral character, and deeper in the relationships between teachers, learners and families that make DVA what it is.
I want to thank every parent who came to Open Day, every teacher who stayed late to mark portfolios, and every learner who showed up — literally and metaphorically — even on the hard days.
Let us make Term 2 the best yet.
