A full term into the Junior Secondary curriculum, Double Vision Academy's Grade 7, 8 and 9 learners are demonstrating exactly what the CBC was designed to produce: engaged, curious, self-directed learners who are growing in both knowledge and character.
Our subject teachers report that the transition from the primary generalist model to subject-specialist teaching has been well received. Learners are forming study groups, asking deeper questions and taking ownership of their learning portfolios.
Key highlights from this term include: a Grade 8 Science club that meets twice a week voluntarily, a Grade 7 agriculture group that has started a small vegetable patch on the school grounds, and a Grade 9 mentorship programme where JSS learners visit our Upper Primary classes every Friday to read together.
This is the CBC in action — and DVA is proud to be at the centre of it.
